Where the Wildflowers Grow by Terah Shelton Harris

This is a coming-of-age story of redemption.

Leigh has witnessed horrific things and lived a life of grief.

As a child she watched her family die, she was the only one left. As an adult, she survived a bus crash during a prison transfer, and she was the only one left, again.

Trying to find a new place in the world, she stumbles upon a sanctuary at a flower farm in rural Alabama.

Tucked away in a beautiful place, she finds love and family, the kind she never had. These people built something amazing from nothing.

Jackson, the owner, sees her. He recognizes the pain in a kindred spirit. Life blooms for her, all around her. She finds her brokenness mending in the new life she is creating. Hope gives her new purpose.

Her past and her secrets catch up to her, everything and everyone that she cares about is threatened. She will have to face her past to save the future she dreams of.

I was slow to get into this one. My advice, let it breathe, and breathe with it. There are some places that slow down a bit. Once I connected with the characters and the story, I was captivated. There is always a lure for me with found family. This story dives deep in the realm of self-discovery and redemption.

It is a beautiful story. I really enjoyed Leigh and Jackson and their perseverance and determination.

I would like to Thank NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of this title. The opinions expressed here are my own. 4/5⭐
