Peril in Potter Valley by Laurie Herlich
This is a brilliant cozy mystery!
Continuing in her dance with danger, Merry Irving does it again!
Merry is a dog lover/sitter by day and an amateur sleuth at every other turn. Although, having faced danger, mystery – and a serial killer, she may be a pro by now.
Merry is in Potter Valley to pet-sit for Sasha, a sweet Doberman. Detective Dave keeps a watchful eye. Merry and curiosity find trouble lurking across the way and the peaceful pet sitting goes awry.
There’s suspense mixed with tender moments of friendship and gallant displays of heroism. Packed with danger and mystery…this is one cozy adventure you don’t want to miss!
I enjoyed the story and I always enjoy the diligence Merry’s character shows in the detail of her care for the animals. In some stories the animal is there but then lost in the narrative, not with this book or any of Laurie’s books! I can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
4.5/5⭐
The characters are relatable and realistic. There is adventure and mystery. I love the dogs- always!
