Wing Weaver by A.P. Beswick ( Aviara Academy Book 1)

I loved everything about this book. If you like books about dragons and dragon riders, this is for you!

Aeden Harrington has the unfortunate fate of doing the impossible.

He bonds with a dragon, unhatched, a consecrated egg, hidden, left for dead. It happened against all the odds. Even worse, the bond was outside of the Academy’s ceremony. Shattering tradition, he had a target on his back from the beginning.

His fresh start at the academy was a chance to rise above his past. He was to master the Weave, prove himself, but dragon fate chose for him, Nyra, with broken wings that could not fly.

The pair battle distrust, isolation and a hidden truth within the hallowed halls of the academy. Whispers of cover-ups and death chase the reader through the pages. This was well paced and kept me interested.

I loved the characters. The fast, unusual bond with Nyra and Aeden had me hooked.

I also loved the dragon handler, Lyric. A wonderful character and mentor for Aeden.

The twist was AWESOME!

The world building was phenomenal and I was completely immersed in the story. This is not my usual genre, but it has me hooked and waiting for book 2.

5/5
