Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth
This story does come with twists and some dark humor, but it’s really about love.
The connection two people make when they give their hearts to caring for another is just beautiful.
Elsie/Mabel is more than her past and she shows it with her relationship with Penelope. I dare not risk giving away too much.
The characters were awesome. The story was intriguing. I was invested in the story from page one and that doesn’t happen often.
It’s always nice to see a character develop alternate lines of connection when their family fails them. It gives the reader hope, even when the story is a little dark.
I loved this one so much I ordered a copy to add to my personal library. 5/5⭐
