Awake by Jen Hatmaker
I loved the raw honesty in this memoir. The walk of faith in and out of the church was real and relatable.
I enjoyed the author’s own voice as she told her journey of self-discovery and her journey on the road to self-appreciation and self-care. The discussion of co-dependency really hit home. I was blown away to identify with some of that ideology.
The audiobook is a must because you get the bonus companion material, which are the voices of real people that contributed to her journey. I will still buy a physical copy because I want to annotate and quote from it!
