The Paris Novel By Ruth Reichl
When Stella’s mother dies, the legacy she is left with is a story left untold. She is sent to Paris, and there she meets the mother she never knew through fashion and food. She experiences life in a whole new way and when she becomes a “tumbleweed” at the famous bookstore “Shakespeare and Company”, her real education begins.
Stella discovers who she is through art and food and the people she meets along the way.
This was a fun novel of self-discovery and forgiveness.
I really enjoyed it. There are triggers of child abuse just as an FYI, nothing graphic but the topic is depicted in the story. 3.5/5⭐
