Libby trades her city life for a small-town wonder. She takes a job in Sawmill, TX, helping put an antique store back in order.
Her boss, Benny and his three-legged dog, Elvis, charm their way into her heart.
Benny has surrogate grandmas that run a book club, and his love life. More gossip than reading, but the food is good. Their goal is to find Benny a wife, and Libby isn’t on their list.
Sawmill begins to feel like home and Lilly finds that it has everything she is looking for and needs. She isn’t sure it’s where she belongs though.
This was a sweet and charming story! I loved the elements of small-town life and “surrogate grandparents.” 4/5⭐
