The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau by Kristin Harmel

This was a beautifully crafted story with captivating characters and a fascinating story! Brilliant writing that takes the reader through the life of Colette.

The dual timeline was so well crated to bring relevance and keep the interest of the reader, well done!

I was completely captivated by Colette and her story! What a fascinating life and career! I really didn’t want it to end but it was well rounded and I loved how the story came full circle without leaving loose ends.

This was, in my opinion, a brilliant retelling of Robin Hood, in different time and circumstance but just excellent storytelling. Think Robin Hood – like a family tradition, that poised two women for a lifetime of thievery. Annabel and Colette, a mother-daughter team take on the Nazis in a unique way, taking from them to fund the resistance!

One night, Annabel is arrested and Colette’s younger sister disappears in the chaos, along with a priceless bracelet. Over her lifetime, Colette has redistributed millions to fund worthy causes. She has suffered guilt and the uncertainty of not knowing what happened to her sister for over 70 years.

When the missing bracelet shows up in Boston in an exhibit, the past blows into the present. While in the search for answers and justice, many lives are changed, and perhaps closure and love can be found. 5/5⭐

I would love to Thank NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of this book. I also thank Kristin Harmel for bringing such a beautifully crafted story at such a difficult time in her life.
