The Blue Horse by Bruce Borgos
In the high desert of Nevada, the bodies are piling up after a controversial wild round-up. There are more suspects than Porter Beck can contend with.
A helicopter crashes, the round-up coordinator is murdered, with advocacy groups swearing protection, state and federal agents swarm in for a scapegoat.
Porter Beck and his girlfriend, Charlie Bue Horse, team up to solve the crimes.
A nearby lithium mine sets off Beck’s alarm bells and things get desperate when his sister goes to rescue a teen that bolted from a wilderness program. She finds the teen just outside the mine and they are at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The game of survival pulls them all in as the suspects multiply and the secrets spill out.
This was a really well written story, although part of a series, it worked perfectly as a stand-alone.
I enjoyed the characters and suspense! Now I do want to read the others! Porter and Charlie are a formidable team. Phenomenal writing! 5/5⭐
