The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst
This one was truly enchanting!
A true heart-warming second-chance story with a community rallying support and found family with plants.
It’s mystical and magical with brilliant writing. The warmth just pulls you in and hugs you.
Terlu Perna was punished for unauthorized magic and was turned into a wooden statue, on display in the library she worked in. One day, she wakes in a cold wintery setting far from the library, no sense of time or where exactly she is – and no idea how she got there.
Terlu meets a grumpy gardener and he offers her a place to stay, clothes, and delicious honey cakes.
The magnificent greenhouses are a dream come true for Terlu. She learns the magic to sustain them is failing, causing death and mayhem. She must help even if it means facing a horrible punishment again. With the help of the grumpy gardener and a sentient rose, she boldly unravels the secrets of a dead sorcerer and tries to save the island and the happiness she has found there.
This is a story of redemption, kindness, friendship and love. I enjoyed all of it! Terlu is a new favorite quirky character. 4/5⭐
