Theo of Golden by Allen Levi

Wow!

I am not sure where to start, this was so uplifting and powerful. I was blown away with the stories and brilliant characters. I love a book that makes you feel something and this one will make you feel everything. It’s in my top 10 for 2025.

Golden, Georgia is a small town with quirky, yet ordinary people. Theo, a mysterious stranger, with no last name, arrives in town with a purpose, unknown to others. He is captivated by the 92 brilliant framed pencil portraits that adorn the coffee shop wall.

Theo starts a personal journey to purchase every portrait and pair them with their subjects. On the journey he meets and creates connections with each one. A found family is created among his new friends.

This is a phenomenal story with brilliant craftmanship with weaving words together to create memorable stories and characters. It restores the reader’s faith in humanity with kindness, reverences, and respect.

Kindness can and does change the world one person at a time.

While Theo captures the heart of the community, the townspeople are left with the question of whether his appearance was by chance or purposeful, his existence changes all of their lives and relationships.

This is so brilliant, I listened to the audiobook because it was the first version I could get my hands on, but I have since purchased a hard copy because it was so inspiring to me.

I loved my experience with the story. It made my heart soar; it made me smile and cry a little. Everyone should experience it, for inspiration, for witness to a kind heart and for the love of brilliant storytelling. 5+/5⭐
