Cataloochee by Wayne Caldwell
This was an outstanding representation of culture in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
It is multilayered with rich Appalachian culture, dialect, and history.
The saga of three generations, as the tale unfolds there was close attention given to detail.
I absolutely loved this one! I could relate to all the places mentioned, as I have visited Cataloochee many times with my family. The rich history of how the place came to be was beautifully depicted in this novel. I have seen the buildings and beauty first hand.
I loved this one. I was delighted to see mention of my hometown, Milledgeville, Georgia. 4/5⭐
