After Paris by Mary Ellen Taylor
I really enjoyed every word! This was so well layered and the characters were beautifully developed. There was romance, mystery and more!
After a two-year battle with cancer, Ruby finds kindred spirits among the pages of a diary. Two women that disappeared during the Nazi occupation of France left questions. One a French film star fascinated Ruby and her mystery is what led Ruby on the journey to find the truth.
As Ruby pieces the women’s story together for an article she is writing, she finds the courage to embrace life again and give love another chance.
Cecile and Sylvia were bold women that had to survive the worst war as women who found themselves in enemy territory on their own soil. One made it to America eventually and the other one disappeared to history.
This was a clever way to present a dual timeline story and wonderful characters that I enjoyed connecting with. I also loved Ruby’s story in the present 2025. It was refreshing and inspiring to see the struggles of all three women written. 4.5/5⭐
I would love to Thank NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of this novel!
