Summit Lake by Charlie Donlea
Charlie Donlea never disappoints!
This was full of twists and even though I was on the path of figuring it out, the trail was tricky enough that I was surprised at the end! Loved it!
Summit Lake, a small lake community where a young law student was murdered has secrets. The reporter, Kelsy Castle, is sent to cover the story and immediately connects with the victim.
There are no suspects, no persons of interest, and so many secrets!
Nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, this small town puts Kelsey on edge. Where a girl was alive one day and gone the next, and it semes people aren’t looking for answers, questions build. The town doesn’t seem to want anyone else to look for answers either!
With a savage crime, extensive efforts to keep it quiet, Kelsey’s radar picks up something way more sinister than the “fluff” story she was anticipating. Even with danger and warnings, Kelley follows her connection to the victim, Becca, and steps into her shoes to find answers about what happened.
This one was dark and brutal and so full of suspense! I could not put it down! 4/5⭐
