Some Choose Darkness by Charlie Donlea
Rory Moore has a unique job as a forensic reconstructionist. She solves cold case homicides by piecing the details from the crime scenes together for a fresh look.
After losing her father, she receives a call that changes everything and plunges her into a decades old cold case, one where her father was representing a monster, called “The Thief”. She has more questions than answers. He is up for parole, and as the sole partner left in her father’s law firm, she is forced to handle the parole hearing.
Her father’s cryptic notes left behind tell her there is more to the story. She becomes entangled in the mystery as she investigates, connecting the past with the present and bringing everything she thought she knew into question.
This one had some brilliant twists and I loved it! Charlie Donlea is a master at throwing twists into a great story! 5/5⭐
