Murder Road by Simone St. James
A wrong turn takes a newly wed couple into the town of Coldlake Falls. The couple encounter a hitchhiker along Atticus Line, a local remote trek of road. They pick the girl up and notice blood, so they head to the hospital, where she dies. Suddenly as the only witnesses to a death on this road after years of murders, April and Eddie find themselves in the crosshairs as possible suspects.
As the two immerse themselves in the mystery, they find that something supernatural is at hand and something horrible is present in the dark secrets they uncover in the town.
This is a twisted thriller! It is very well constructed with relatable characters. Their history is just as big of a mystery as the murders. I didn’t want to put it down! 5/5
